Home / Second Floor

Second floor

A mall without walls

Independent vendors rent their own space upstairs and stock it themselves. That is why the second floor looks different from one week to the next, and why people who come for the first floor keep going up the stairs.

Forty-odd shops inside one

Every booth up there belongs to somebody else. They choose what goes in it, they price it and they restock it on their own schedule. We run the register and the building; they run their own little shop inside it.

That arrangement is the whole reason it is worth a second look every time you are in. A booth you walked past last month may be completely different today.

Upstairs

Four booths, on one ordinary Monday

Photographed in August 2026. Every one of these belongs to an independent vendor, and some of those vendors have been with us since the day we opened. What is inside the booths is what turns over, which is the point rather than a disclaimer.

What you will find

Antiques and collectibles, handmade work from people who make things around here, and a fair amount that defies category. You never know what you will find, which is the honest answer and also the point.

When it is open

The second floor is open any time the store is. Same hours, no separate entrance, no admission. Come in and go up.

Worth knowing

We cannot tell you what is up there today

With that many independent booths changing on their own schedules, nobody could keep an accurate list, so we are not going to pretend otherwise with one on this website.

If you are hunting something specific, the phone is better than any page we could build. Call and we will walk the floor and look.

For makers and dealers

Thinking about a booth?

Every booth upstairs is taken at the moment. That is a good problem, and it does mean the honest thing to offer you is a waitlist rather than an application.

We are looking for local makers, resellers and small businesses who take real pride in what they put out. Spaces run from a shelf up to a ten by ten, so there is room for someone testing an idea as well as someone who has done this for years.

Put your name down and we will come to you when something opens up. It costs nothing and there is no obligation at the other end of it.

  • Everything is full right now. We would rather say that up front than take an application we cannot act on.
  • The waitlist is in order. When a space opens we work down the list.
  • Bring photographs. If you have had a booth before, pictures of it tell us more than anything you could write.
  • Three month lease. Long enough to find out whether it works for you, short enough that you are not stuck if it does not.

What a space costs

Shelf space
$25, $35 or $50 a month depending on the shelf.
Booth space
$80 or $160 a month depending on the size, up to a ten by ten.
Lease
Three months.
Worth asking about
There is a little more to the arrangement than the rent. We will go through all of it with you before you commit to anything, so nothing is a surprise.

Rents as of August 2026. Ring the store if you are reading this a long time from now.
