Home / Delivery
DeliveryGetting it home
Yes, it can be delivered. The arrangement is a little different from most furniture shops, and it works in your favour, so it is worth two minutes of reading before you buy something big.
How it works
You choose, and you pay them
We do not run delivery trucks and we do not want to. Instead there are two local delivery companies our customers use, and you deal with them directly.
- Who brings it
- Barnett Unlimited of Osceola Mills, or Jackrabbit Mega Services of Philipsburg. You pick which one.
- Who you pay
- Them, directly. Not us.
- Who sets the price
- They do. It depends on how far it is going and what it is, so ask them for a number.
- What we add to it
- Nothing. We do not mark it up and we do not take a cut, which is the reason we do it this way.
- What we do
- Give you both names and numbers at the counter and help you set it up while you are here.
- What goes on the truck
- A finished piece. We inspect it, assemble anything that needs assembling and take all the packaging off before it leaves us, so nothing arrives at your house in a carton. More about that.
- Taking it yourself
- Perfectly fine, and plenty of people do. Bring straps and somebody to lift the other end.
Worth knowing
Before you arrange it
- Both are separate businesses and we do not employ either of them. We are happy to tell you who our customers use and have been pleased with, but the arrangement is between you and them, and so is anything that goes wrong on the way.
- Measure the doorway before you measure the wall. Stairwells, turns at the top of a landing and old front doors are what stop a sofa, not the room it is going in.
- Ask us about timing when you order. Something on our floor can go quickly. A special order arrives when it arrives, and we will tell you the real timeline rather than a comfortable one.
- Upstairs is a different conversation. Second floor pieces belong to independent vendors rather than to us, so ask at the counter and we will find out what is possible for that particular booth.
